Meet Mrs. Darla Long

Lebo Elementary/Jr.-Sr. High School Principal

Mrs. Long is a proud alumni of Emporia State University.  She earned her bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Education in 1996.  Her first teaching job was at Peabody-Burns Jr.-Sr. High School, where she taught mathematics and computer sciences in grades 7 -12.  While at Peabody Burns, Mrs. Long coached volleyball, basketball, and track and served as a class sponsor.  

In 2001, Mrs. Long came to Lebo Schools as the Business teacher and FBLA adviser. The following year, Mrs. Long moved into the mathematics classroom, and served as high school volleyball coach.   Mrs. Long continued in the classroom until she obtained her Masters Degree in Educational Administration in the Spring of 2008.  In the Fall of 2008, Mrs. Long began her career as a school principal at Lebo Elementary.  She served in this capacity for 3 years.  In 2011, Mrs. Long became the K - 12 Principal of Lebo Schools.

Mrs. Long is married to Jesse.  He is a self-employed mechanic that works on agricultural equipment.  They have 2 children, Kaylee and Cody, who attend Lebo Schools.  Mrs. Long's hobbies including watching KU basketball, running 5K's and following her children in their activities.  

Mrs. Long is proud to work in a school that has such a supportive community.  She enjoys the students and families in the Lebo school system and is a proud supporter of the Wolves! Go Lebo!
